Law_of_Introduction_North_Week Day 1

At the deepest level of ecological awareness, you are talking about spiritual awareness.  Spiritual awareness is an understanding of being embedded in a larger whole, a cosmic whole, of belonging to the universe

Daily Guidance:

Welcome to the fourth and final week of this Introductory tour around the Wisdom Wheel. We have progressed to the North side of the Wheel, the place where the Elders, Wind , Air, breath and Spirit are represented, among other things. The waxing moon, half full is now in its first quarter, indicating the time of the North Direction on the Wheel.

Cynthia's Journal:

By now you are familiar with the changing phases of the moon and how they signal the move from one quadrant of the Wheel to the next.  If the sky is clear tonight, and the moon can be seen where you live, spend some time outside to note how different your world looks lit by the moon instead of the sun.  Which side of the half of the moon is illuminated now, the left side or the right?

In another week the moon will be full again and we’ll take up the Law of Balance. If you are enjoying the Journey, and would like to continue receiving these daily emails, please subscribe (via PayPal) by visiting our website at www.thewisdomwheel.com before the end of this week to avoid any interuption in this service. Otherwise these emails will automatically stop on the next full moon.

Those who continue the One Thousand Day Journey round the Wisdom Wheel will begin to learn about a new Law on each full moon. The Introductory tours also begin on each full moon, for new subscribers. If you'd like your friend(s) to join you on this Journey, you can forward copies of the daily emails to let them know about the Wisdom Wheel or forward their email address to us and we will put them on the next full moon list, to begin the Introductory month.

Many people tell us they enjoy following the lunar calendar on this Journey. There are many resources for those who want to learn more about the moon and its influences. The annual edition of The Old Farmer's Almanac  is quite popular and uses the moon to advise about things like planting times, and when to avoid surgery (which is not recommended during the waxing phase as there is a natural tendency to bleed more at that time of the month.)

The U.S. Navy, whose watery domain is so heavily influenced by the moon-regulated tides, has an excellent moon calendar at their website http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/MoonPhase.html . Books about moon lore and legend abound; from the scientific, Gail Gibbons The Moon Book  to the more fanciful, feminine, astrological and native, Earth Medicine: ‘Ancestor's Ways of Harmony for Many Moons’ by Jamie Sams.

As we enter the North Direction, here is a layering of all the categories of information you’ve learned about as you went through the first three Directions over the past three weeks.  North is the place of the first quarter moon and;

Wind

Breath

Air

Spirit

Midnight and starlight

Winter

Animals whose hair turns white in wintertime

Elders, whose hair turns white in the winter of their years

and other things.

This introduces you to the North by;

its element

part of the body

time of the day

season of the year

its animals

and the human aspects it represents

Can you remember which Universal Law anchors the North Direction?  What Law balances it from the South?

(We’ll remind you of the Four Direction Laws in tomorrow’s email.)
