Welcome to the Wisdom Wheel Law of Great-Mystery # 36

How much do we really know?  All our scientific and economic achievements cannot equal the wisdom contained in the DNA of a single cell.  The wise ones are full of awe and appreciation for good reason.

Introduction to the Law of Great-Mystery

Welcome to the last Law on the Wisdom Wheel, Great Mystery. After three years of Faith and Commitment, some congratulations are in order! Pat your Self on the back and take a bow today.  Many begin this 1,000 Day Journey, but only a small percentage will actually finish it. Your effort is commendable. We hope your relationship with the Wheel, and with us, will continue. Please share the story of your Journey, via the online blogs or via a personal email to Cynthia_davidson@thewisdomwheel.com

This Journey has shown you how Great Mystery works. You did not know for sure that you could complete it, until you tried. Can you say now, for instance, why you were able to keep your promise for 36 months when most others can not?

Was it your motivation, your ability to concentrate or some other quality?

You can take this question to the Wheel, like any other one, yet some reasons remain a mystery.

What else are you capable of? This three year pilgrimage with the Wheel has proven you have staying Power. From now on, whenever you face your challenges with the Unknown in any form, don’t forget that you tackled this Journey, and completed it, thanks to your determination, discipline and devotion.

The more you learn about the Laws of the Universe, the more comfortable you will be with the Unknown. We need to accept the Great Mystery, and its positive aspects, instead of being too afraid to approach it.

As you begin to study this final Law, think back to the first time you saw the Wisdom Wheel? Can you remember what you thought and felt then? The Wheel seemed overwhelming, a bit like the Great Mystery does. After 36 months, you have learned how to use the Wheel, to help you approach this task too.

Take stock of your conditioning, the ideas and emotions you have inherited about unknown subjects. What instincts and attitudes do you have about making discoveries? Are you inspired or inhibited when you face your ignorance? The Great Mystery is yours to explore. Think of it as the sacred space which contains all that you have yet to know. Allow the Great Unknown to fill you with awe and enthusiasm instead of fear and apprehension. Increase your tolerance for the Great Mystery, as it is a daily Presence in your life.

Look at the Wheel once more now. See the place where this Law belongs? Great Mystery goes on the Northern side of the Wheel, in the quadrant where spirit is represented. This Law is balanced by Ultimate Reality in the South. This can help you appreciate the wisdom of Great Mystery.

As long as we are in our human form, there will be things about others, our selves and the Universe that remain unfathomable. Some answers can not be found because their function is to inspire and humble us. As ‘spiritual beings having a human experience’ we should not resign ourselves to an unfulfilling relationship with Great Mystery. We are meant to tackle this work. Our participation is required in the Grand Scheme of things. Knowing our place and our purpose in the Universe is essential, for how else can we do our part? Our individual quests for knowledge add to the collective consciousness. This is how we evolve in our understanding of the Divine Coherence. But Great Mystery still remains. At best, all our searching and questioning prepares us to accept the amazing intricacy of Ultimate Reality. The multi-dimensional Nature of the Universe is a greater Mystery to some than to others.

We can chase it with our minds, and try to quantify its qualities with our sciences, yet the mysteries of the Universe leave us to feel every emotion, from terror to joy as we live within it. Paradoxically, our physical senses maintain the illusion of separation from the Great Mystery. Once our physical bodies are shed, we will return from whence we came, and re-enter the Great Mystery.

In the meantime, every vision, every out-of-body experience, and dream of cosmic Oneness will enliven our sense of Great Mystery. Because we can not capture or define it, we are enthralled by it. What would life be like on this good Earth, if we had no more curiosity? Human beings have always wanted to be fascinated. It keeps us engaged. Look at the history of Mystery Schools for example. They demonstrate how we have dealt with this need. More than a million results come up when searching the web for Mystery Schools; the Nine Gates Mystery School , the Masons, the Society of the Seven Rays, the Rosicrucian’s and so on. They all represent just a fraction of the responses people have formulated over the eons when it comes to the Great Mystery.

Think about the downside of Great Mystery. Look at all the damage humans beings have done to each other in the name of secrets, Power and mysteries. We have often been misled by our hunger to know more. Using knowledge to dominate and exploit others is as old as the Great Mystery itself. People who’ve become too emotionally attached to their certainty and absolutist thinking have left the realm of Great Mystery. It is a refuge from personalities, agendas, politics and the rest.

Those who need to view their in-group as ‘superior’ are refusing to admit we are all ignorant when it comes to the Great Mystery. Maybe Sacred Oneness precedes this Law on the Wisdom Wheel to remind us of the right way to approach this topic.

The questions we carry, and the answers we accept or refuse, define us like nothing else can. Some become addicted or obsessed about the Great Mystery and crave the Power of its secrets. Too much longing for what is hidden can jeopardize your health and sanity. Balance in this area is as crucial as any other.

In closing, we want to remind you that the connection you have established to the Wheel and its principles, combined with the natural Cycles you have resumed by following Nature again, will always stay with you, like your own heartbeat. Whenever you look at the night sky and see the changing phases of the moon, remember you have other companions out here, who are thinking of you, and how the Circle holds us together even if we have yet to meet face to face. Enjoy the Great Mystery.

Many Blessings, all ways, always, Malcolm and Cynthia Davidson
