The Good Life

Blog

In these turbulent and violent times, I am grateful to live in such a peaceful place. The other evening, the toughest choice I faced was whether to order fish or clams strips.

This was Friday night. Little Tom (whom I wrote about previously), our guest Rintaro and I went to the beach to frolic by the sea and enjoy some seafood. As we all tucked into our food, it seemed like all was right in our little corner of the world.

Tom and Rintaro know little of the Wisdom Wheel. But they are Loved and nurtured. Although they haven’t studied Right Relationship or Right Action, they exist in an environment where folks can Trust and feel empathy.

As I walked along the beach feeling the sand between my toes, I wasn’t on high alert. I meandered and meditated as I took in the sea air and the cascading waves tickled my calves. Still, I felt sadness for the victims of the recent violence. I carry the laws of Right Relationship and Right Action in hopes that I can make a positive impact on the environment I live in, and that others do the same.
